'Skinbook' is a rapidly growing social networking site that is similar to Facebook with only one small exception - clothes.
Skinbook caters to the nudist who are too shy or embarrassed to embrace Facebook for socialising. Founded jointly by 24-years-old Jessica Kennedy and Karl Maddocks, Skinbook has more than 9000 members and 2712 (Counting) fans on Facebook. But the SNS should not be mistake for a porn channel says the co-founder.
The member profiles are properly monitored for any sleazy content. Around 10% of the applications get through to become members. The female co-founder has assured that any sexist or abusive behaviour towards female members will not be tolerated. The average age of the members is 35-40 and the structure of the site is similar to Facebook with photo galleries, groups, blogs, events etc. The site executives have made sure that no porn images and headless torso pictures are allowed.
They have also ensured that the 'voyeurs' and 'creeps' are kept out. In their words they are the No.1 nudist social networking site in the world.
