Salman decides to quit Twitter

Salman decides to quit Twitter

Controversy's favourite child, Salman Khan, may sign out of of the micro blogging website, Twitter. In the wee hours of Monday morning, Khan left a message on his Twitter page. "Looks like I might have to get off Twitter. Don't want to but what to do? I think I messed up. So sorry guys, sorry bolne mej  Koi sharam nahi (There's no sharam in saying sorry)," he said.

This decision follows the severe backlash he faced over his interview to a Pakistani TV channel, in which he claimed that the 2008 Mumbai attacks attracted publicity only because the elite were targeted. Khan's remarks riled the Government and he later apologised for them.

Khan reacted on Twitter after the interview. "Next time mein apnne sub interview sub khud bhi record karoonga, kya bolte ho?

Takeh yeh sub controversies nahi ho (next time I will record all my interviews, so that I don't get involved in any controversy)." A few hours later, a mellow Khan again tweeted, "Hurt very hurt. My moter, fater, brothers and sisters are all upset. The family had to go thru torture on Eid and Ganesh Utsav."

Fellow actors on the website have vigorously opposed his decision. "This has to stop. You cannot accuse Salman of insensitivity. He, in fact, is an emotional sucker, ever ready to buy a sob story," says Sonam Kapoor.

Musician Vishal Dadlani said, "What you said is true. Our politicians/TV media don't care about regular people only hyped 26/11 because it came to our doors."
