Website that helps customise surprises for your friends and family gains popularity in city

As anyone who has tried to organise a surprise for someone else knows to well, it requires not just imagination, but also resources and perfect timing. If that's asking for too much, why not simply hand over the task of planning your surprise to someone else? Any Surprise Any Place (www.asap.co.in) is a website that helps you customise surprises for your friends and family.

Apart from personalised gifts such as T-shirts, candles or photo frames, the website also helps you organise surprises that require a little more planning. "It could be something as simple as a guitarist coming and singing a song for your wife, or a clown wishing your son at midnight," says Ruchi Chopra, proprietor of the website.

Across country

While the Delhi-based company delivers personalised gifts all over the country, it organises surprises in 10 cities including Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore, among others.

The surprise can be as simple or elaborate as you wish. "Someone called me from Mumbai and said said that she was gifting her husband a Tata Safari," Says Chopra. "She wanted to know how to make it more special."

The company planted four small gifts inside the car and organised a treasure hunt "Car, the gifts were not worth much," says Chopra. "But it made the experience more special for him."

According to Chopra, personalised newspapers that bear the person's name in the masthead, and personalised Monopoly sets are hugely popular in Mumbai. "The kind of value that something personalised has for someone is huge," she says.
